Newly Sober Mischa Barton Tries Out A New Look

Last weekend we read a report that claims that Mischa Barton has given up drinking alcohol for good … and today we get to see the fruits of that decision. The newly sober Mischa was spotted out and about last night wearing an outfit that, IMHO, looks like only a drunken or blind woman would ever deign to wear in public … behold: Mischa Barton was spotted out and about in London last night with a oddly-ventilated outfit. Her patterned dress should have been pretty and elegant with it’s high collar and demure hemline, but bizarrely it had big gaping holes above and below the chest. It featured large cut-out areas, making the outfit look like a bandeau bikini attached to a skirt. However, the actress, 24, managed to carry off the dress, designed by Miu Miu, with aplomb – matching her red lipstick to the red bird motif of the fabric and toning the outfit down with some plain round-toed court shoes. Mischa spent an evening with friends at a Kensington pub before heading out to get some snacks at a pizza takeaway. Yeah, this outfit makes no sense to me but … as long as the girl is sober, I guess I can forgive her hideous sense of fashion. I’m not sure why Mischa had to party with her friends at a pub if she’s newly sober but … I guess Hollywood “It” Girls will be Hollywood “It” Girls. So … this outfit … what do YOU think? [ Source ]

Cristiano Ronaldo Comes To The US To Train For The Upcoming Soccer Season

Cristiano Ronaldo , who spent part of his week holidaying with his bros rather than staying home to take care of his newborn son , has made his way back to the US this week to begin training for his upcoming soccer season with Real Madrid . As you may recall, Cristiano spent some time here in the US late last year … and ended up getting a waitress pregnant with his child . I wonder what sort of shenanigans homie might get himself into this time around: Real Madrid’s Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo cut short his holidays by one day and started training on Tuesday under the club’s new manager Jose Mourinho for the first time before the team heads to the United States. During Tuesday’s training session the Portuguese coach divided the players into two teams to play two practice games. The team will head to California on Wednesday morning for a pre-season training camp where they will remain until August 7. Several other of Real Madrid internationals who took part in the World Cup in South Africa will meet up with the squad in California, such as Brazil’s Kaka, who will arrive on Saturday. Portuguese defender Pepe on Monday became the first Real Madrid international who took part in the tournament to have resumed training with the Spanish club. Ronaldo, the world’s most expensive player whose transfer to Real from Manchester United in cost the club 94 million euros in June 2009, failed to shine for Portugal during the World Cup. The 25-year-old announced shortly after the final of the tournament which was won by Spain that he had become a father in June but refused to reveal who the mother of the baby boy is, sparking a media frenzy. Real will play two pre-season friendlies while in California. The club will face Mexican side Aguilas de America in San Francisco on August 4 and US side LA Galaxy in Los Angeles three days later. As you may recall, Ronaldo managed to convince the American woman reported to be his babymama to have sex with him by using the line, You, me, Fuck, Fuck . I wonder if he’ll be using such sweet words on the American ladies he meets on this latest visit to the states. Mischa Barton Poses For Designer Phillip Plein

Mischa Barton , who just last Summer was admitted to a psychiatric ward after she suffered a mental breakdown and then who’s TV series The Beautiful Life: TBL was canceled shortly thereafter (after only 2 episodes), appears to be trying to get her life back in order these days. Mischa is featured in a new promo ad campaign for fashion designer Phillip Plein … here is one of her new photos: She favours a grungy look these days, but Mischa Barton scrubbed up rather nicely for a new fashion shoot. The actress was sleek and stylish as she posed alongside a zebra in a kooky photoshoot for designer Phillip Plein. But the star appeared to have every tiny imperfection glossed over by the ubiquitous Hollywood airbrush … Instead of acting Mischa, 24, has found work advertising and endorsing products. Her latest campaign was photographed at the James Goldstein Mansion, built by architect John Lautner in the 1960′s in the Hollywood Hills. ‘Being in the limelight for a young and beautiful girl, the looks of course always get a lot of attention, Mischa Barton got a lot and learned to live with her fame,’ said Plein. ‘For me it was the big challenge to again show her as a diva, a rock n roll Goddess.’ He said the plan was to present Mischa in the style of Brigitte Bardot ‘with big hair, strong black make-up on the eyes and nude on the face as a glamorous and sexy rock n roll diva.’ The campaign will be seen worldwide in the international issues of top fashion magazines. I mean … I don’t get the zebra … but this photo is heaps better than the last batch of photos we saw of Mischa Barton back in March (you know, those photos where Mischa ‘s fingers were digging into her nose searching for boogies to dig out ). Robert Pattinson Is Rooting For The US Soccer Team

Robert Pattinson , who made a showy appearance on the red carpet of the Hollywood premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse earlier this week , made a pretty surprising admission in one of his interviews. When asked about the success of the English Soccer Team at the 2010 World Cup soccer tournament this year, R. Pattz confessed that he is actually rooting for the US Soccer Team instead : Robert Pattinson might want to rethink his soccer talk after confessing he’s cheering on Team U.S.A. in the World Cup at the “Twilight” premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday night, June 24. The British actor was asked about the success of his national side England, who have joined the Americans in the last 16 of the tournament in South Africa and his answer will chill the hearts of fans back home. He said, “I’m kinda more fired up by the American team, to be honest. I shouldn’t say that. Jeez, that’s terrible.” No, Roberto … that’s not terrible, it’s very sweet actually. I think R. Pattz is quickly becoming one of us … and I love it. While I sincerely doubt that Rob would go as far as to become a naturalized citizen of the US, I think the fact that he is throwing his soccer support behind Team USA is even a more devoted act towards America than going for citizenship is. Mischa Barton , who hasn’t really done much in recent months to warrant all that much attention (especially since her most recent TV series got canceled after only 2 episodes ), finally did something this week that is worth discussing … homegirl, while taking a moment to enjoy some alone-time by herself at Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills, CA, decided the time was right to go digging for stuff in her nose … natch, while the paparazzi were snapping away: Oh, Mischa … remember when you had a promising career full of hope and wonder? ‘The Beautiful Life: TBL’ Gets Canceled

Sad news for fans of Ashton Kutcher ’s new primetime drama The Beautiful Life: TBL … all 3 of you. The CW has decided to cancel the series after airing only 2 eps . Plagued by poor ratings from the start, the drama which stars Mischa Barton didn’t really have a chance. And so, we raise our plastic utensils and give a hearty Peace the Spork Out to The Beautiful Life: TBL : The new fall season has claimed its first casualty with the cancellation of “The Beautiful Life: TBL”. Although 13 episodes have been ordered for the first season, The CW on Friday, September 25 confirmed that it has opted to pull the plug on the Ashton Kutcher-produced drama series after airing only two episodes. The show chronicling the lives of young models in the fast lane has been pulled off the schedule effective immediately. Production of the show has been shut down. Despite the fact that the series has been filmed to its seventh episode, the network has no plans to air any of the remaining finished episodes. The cancellation news didn’t come in as a shock since “Beautiful Life” had a poor rating right from the start. The September 16 premiere only managed to draw in 1.4 million viewers, and this Wednesday, September 23, episode barely scraped above 1 million viewers. To make it worse, the latter one generated a 0.5 rating in the adult demo. There is yet word on what will fill the 9 P.M. Wednesday time period. Announcement for a replacement is expected to come from The CW at least by Monday, September 28. Rumor has it, the network, which recently picked up “Fly Girls” and a Tinsley Mortimer docusoap, may replace it with reruns of “Melrose Place”. Actually, The CW sent out a press release late yesterday announcing that “encores” of new Melrose Place eps that air on Tuesday night will reair on Wednesday nights, in the time slot that was allotted for TBL. To be honest, I never watched the show so I don’t know if it sucked or not personally … but I haven’t read a good thing about it. HMMM … I wonder if Mischa , who has been a bit of trainwreck this Summer knows about the cancellation yet. Pretty much every celeb in NYC made their way out to attend the Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 fashion show which took place at The Armory here for New York Fashion Week yesterday and then made their way, post haste, to the Hiro Ballroom for the afterparty. Here are a few pics of some of the celebs who attended the event last night: This is but a smattering of the celebs who packed themselves into the ballroom to celebrate Jacobs ’s newest collection. Isaac (Corbin Bleu) confronts Vivienne (guest star Jamie Murray, “Dexter”) about her behavior towards him at a go-see, and the two end up working out an arrangement that serves both their needs. Marissa (Ashley Madekwe) accuses Sonja (Mischa Barton) of stealing the Versace campaign from her and decides to seek revenge in a very public way, which leads Sonja to Cole (Nico Tortorella) for assistance.
