Marc Jacobs & Lorenzo Martone ARE Dunzo After All

It would seem that the torrid on-again-off-again-married-again-off-again-on-again relationship between fashion designer Marc Jacobs and his boyfriend/husband/whatever Lorenzo Martone is off again . As you may recall, Marc and Lorenzo got “married” (or whatever) in St. Bart’s back in January but there were rumors that the couple had split up going around back in April . In May we were assured that the couple were still together and that was the last we heard … until now. Lorenzo Martone has confirmed to the world on his official Twitter profile that he and Marc have, indeed, split up for good: Apparently, Lorezno could not remain quiet any longer and finally responded to all the messages he’s been getting about his relationship with Marc . According to Martone , the couple have been dunzo for the past 2 months! Now, 2 months ago was May … when we were “assured” that the couple were still together. I guess they really weren’t and were just trying to keep the news under wraps. Well, the secret’s out now … and it’s a damn shame. I really liked Marc and Lorenzo together but, alas, I suppose it wasn’t meant to be. I guess this may be the last time we ever hear from Lorenzo Martone again … which is another damn shame. Marc Jacobs & Lorenzo Martone May Not Be Dunzo After All

A week ago today we heard a rumor from the New York Post that married couple Marc Jacobs and his new hubby Lorenzo Martone had broken up … but today we learn that reports of their demise as a couple may have been greatly exaggerated. In the wake of the break-up report last week, a new report suggests that not only are the couple still happily together but they are planning to reaffirm their lurve for one another by getting matching new tattoos : Scott Campbell is known for his canvases as much as his art—he’s the tattoo artist of choice for Marc Jacobs, Josh Hartnett, and Bruce Springsteen. But last night, he gave New York a look at work he’s done on other, non-human backdrops. Big sheets of dollar bills, hologram paintings, and copper-plate etchings (done with a high-tensile tattoo needle, naturally) are the stuff of If You Don’t Belong, Don’t Be Long, Campbell’s first New York solo show and the inaugural exhibition at Crosby Street’s new OHWOW gallery. “It’s funny, people talk about tattoos and the first word that comes into their mind is ‘permanent,’ ” Campbell explained at Evisu’s after-party at the Trump Soho, where a very mixed crowd did its best to rid the recently unveiled luxury hotel’s third-floor event space of its new-carpet smell. (By a little after midnight, revelers had cleaned the place out of booze.) “But actually, tattoos are the most ephemeral medium that I work in. You do a tattoo and, you know, it goes and gets hit by a bus or gets sunburned.” Now that the show’s up, Campbell can get back to the tattoo clients who had to cool their jets while he was preparing it. That includes Jacobs, who came to the opening with Lorenzo Martone. Far from having split, as recent rumors have suggested, he and Martone were thinking about getting couples’ ink. “They were talking about coming in and getting something together,” Campbell said. It’s worth noting that neither of these reports offers any official confirmation of anything from either Jacobs or Martone . Neither report should really be taken a 100% face value. That being said, I hope that this second report is the more true because I’d hate to think that Marc and Lorenzo decided to split just 3 months after they were married . But, I suppose it’s also worth mentioning that getting matching tattoos tends to be the kiss of death in relationships … so, let’s just all hope for the best. [ Source ]

Seth Green & Clare Grant Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for Buffyverse alum and all-around funny guy Seth Green and his longtime girlfriend Clare Grant who got themselves hitched over the weekend ! There is a bit of confusion over whether the happy couple said their I Do s on Saturday or on Sunday but whatever the case may be, they did tie the knot and are now enjoying happily wedded bliss! Seth Green and Clare Grant have made their relationship official. The pair walked down the aisle on Saturday, May 1. The ceremony took place at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in Northern California, reports said. Confirming the happy news, Seth’s musician/actor friend Weird Al Yankovic tweeted, “Just watched my buddy Seth Green get married. Beautiful wedding. Much love to him and his lovely bride Clare.” However, Radar Online claimed the wedding was held on Sunday afternoon, May 2. Seth and Clare met in 2008 and they became engaged earlier this year. The funnyman reportedly popped the question to the “The Graves” star on last New Year’s Eve. However, it was not until February that the “Old Dogs” actor confirmed the engagement. Seth Green is one of the funniest young actors out there and I couldn’t be more thrilled for him and his new wife. Marc Jacobs & Lorenzo Martone Dunzo?

Back in January we learned the happy news that fashion designer Marc Jacobs got married to his longtime boyfriend Lorenzo Martone and today we are hearing that the couple have reportedly split! Thus far, there has been no official confirmation from either party but according to the New York Post , they’ve reportedly been telling friends privately that they are over . Could it be? Are Marc and Lorenzo really dunzo? Fashion world power couple Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone have split — for now. “They’ve both been telling people that they broke up,” friends said. Martone shot down rumors this month that he’d moved out of the Chelsea Merchantile apartment he shared with Jacobs, but sources say he’s planning to go soon. Martone wasn’t with Jacobs in Provincetown last week for the wedding of Jacobs’ business partner, Robert Duffy. Jacobs served as best man. A rep for Jacobs said, “We don’t comment on Marc’s personal life.” Martone also declined to comment. Considering Jacobs ’s track record, I can totally see how the end of his relationship might come this quickly … but I’m having a hard time believing that the couple — who have been dating for years now — would decide to split so soon after they took the official plunge and got married. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this break-up report really pans out but I’m hoping it’s just a nasty rumor. Timed to help generate buzz for his upcoming film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time , Jakey poo was chosen as the latest coverboy for Russian GQ : While I believe that Jake does have subtle blue eyes, it’s clear that his eyecolor was amped up for vivid effect on this magazine cover. Sick And The City

Alas, I am not doing very well today. After hanging out with Darion — who just go over being sick — on Friday night (not that I’m blaming him, the jerk!) and enjoying a very bizzy day on Saturday , I awoke yesterday with a massively sore throat. Most of the day yesterday was spent in bed, but I did manage to drag myself to the couch so that I could watch the Sex and the City movie again for the umpteenth millionth time: Unfortch it wasn’t enough to make me feel better cuz today I’m feeling a bit worse. The throat doesn’t hurt as much but I’m feeling achy all over. Damn Darion!!! Actually, I’m kidding around … I’m sure it wasn’t him who gave me the plague. Today might be a shorter blogging day for me so that I can drink some Nyquil and pass out. Blech. Hope your Monday is going better than mine

Marc Jacobs Is Suing Christian Audigier

Accomplished and talented fashion designer Marc Jacobs is suing tacky, hack designer Christian Audigier for trade dress and trademark infringement of one of his purse designs. Jacobs feels that one of Audigier ’s tacky purse designs looks almost exactly like his design for the Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon tote bag. Here are the purses, side-by-side, along with some deets of the lawsuit : Designer Christian Audigier’s Nervous Tattoo, Inc. is being sued by Marc Jacobs’ company for trade dress and trademark infringement over purse designs. Marc Jacobs designs apparel and accessories, including purses, and has a pending application for its random “Marc Jacobs” scrambled trademark. Marc Jacobs has applied the scrambled trademark to the inside lining of the “Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon” tote bag. And the tote bag’s “size, shape, color or color combinations, product design, texture, and selection and arrangement of materials and accessories” are claimed to serve as its trade dress. Plaintiffs accuse Defendants of selling tote bags that “bear trade dress that unlawfully copies or imitates Plaintiffs’ unique, distinctive, and non-functional Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon Tote Trade Dress and/or that unlawfully bear marks confusingly similar to the Marc Jacobs Scrambled Trademark.” In addition, Plaintiffs assert claims for unfair competition under Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200 and constructive trust. I understand the precedent in cases like this holds that if the two designs bear overt product name labeling, then the plaintiff has no claim of consumer brand confusion. It’s evident that the designs look almost identical … I have to say I’m on Team Jacobs here. The Ed Hardy line is so fug IMHO, it’s a shame that a design created by a designer with talent might get confused with a tacky hack like Christian Audigier . Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Bring Their Lurve To Super Bowl XLIV

Earlier today we saw a cute photo of Brad Pitt and babymama Angelina Jolie lookin’ all coupley at Super Bowl XLIV last night but right new we get to see a few more pics of Brangelina really showin’ off their lurve. Despite reports to the contrary , the couple are still very much together … and very much in love : Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed their love for New Orleans – and for each other – at the Super Bowl on Sunday, a historic and victorious night for one of their favorite cities. The couple, who’ve been dogged by rumors of trouble in their relationship, looked in great spirits, cheering the Saints on to victory at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, and stealing a kiss or two along the way. They also brought 8-year-old son Maddox to the big game. Brangelina are not content to merely let these pictures tell the tale of their committed love, they also plan to sue News of the World — the newspaper that published the report of their split : A London law firm says Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are suing a British tabloid which reported that they were to split. Keith Schillings, of Schillings lawyers, said in a statement Monday that the celebrity couple had begun legal proceedings against the News of The World newspaper. The newspaper reported Jan. 24 that Pitt and Jolie had agreed to divide their assets and made arrangements over the custody of their children. Schillings, whose firm is representing the unmarried couple, said the report involved “false and intrusive allegations.” He said the tabloid failed to meet a demand for a retraction and apology. It’s so nice to see Brangelina lookin’ so happy. I honestly believe they are in it for the long haul and these PDA pics are proof that they are happy … and they want people to know it.
