But, not to worry, we now have confirmation that Prejean is Phelp’s California bootycall sorta girlfriend when he’s in town. The confirmation that the couple have been casually dating comes from Prejean’s own grandmother. Grandma Jeannette Coppolla says , “Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch. He always calls her when he is in town and they go out.” But is it serious? Grandma adds, “Carrie knows that he has dated a lot of girls but she enjoys going out with him and isn’t serious about being in a relationship with him. Vanessa Hudgens Celebrates New Role

Sporting denim hotpants and a long plaid shirt, Vanessa Hudgens headed out shopping at the Diesel store in West Hollywood on Tuesday (April 21). The “High School Musical” hottie looked in high spirits, ready to drop a little cash following the big announcement that she’s lined up a new role. As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Miss Hudgens agreed to star in a new film titled “Beastly,” which is said to be a modern-day take on “Beauty and the Beast.” According to a report, the film (set to begin filming this summer) will be set in Manhattan and will involve a handsome rich kid with a mean streak as the Beast. The Beast character ends up ditching a date who ends up being a witch, and the disgruntled girl casts a spell on him, turning him into everything he hates.  He must then find true love to break the spell.

For some reason Rihanna is still acknowledging the fact that Chris Brown is still alive. Chris is reportedly with some chick and Rihanna got all kinds of jealous. Are Chris Brown and Rihanna broken up, or aren’t they? At issue are a flurry of text messages that reportedly were exchanged between the two after Brown was photographed in a West Hollywood tattoo parlor with Girlicious singer Natalie Meji on April 13. “When Ri saw the pictures, she sent Chris a text message, and Chris said, ‘It’s none of your business,’ ” reported Us Weekly. Brown’s rep denies that the two are dating, and told People magazine that the singer was at the parlor with “a woman named Dean,” but Mejia seems to think differently. “Things are going well between us. … (Brown) has treated me like a gentleman at all times,” she told RadarOnline.com on April 13.
