Kim Cattrall: Sex and the City Sequel on the Way

With the rousing success of “Sex and the City: The Movie” earlier this year, fans have been wondering about the prospects of a sequel.  And according to Kim Cattrall , there’s a second installment in the works. During an interview on the UK talk show “The Paul O’Grady Show,” Miss Cattrall was asked, “Will there be a sequel.” And she responded with a resounding, “Yes there will!” Corroborating the story, a spokesperson for New Line Cinema revealed that they’re “in negotiations.”

Sara Jessica Parker Says Sex Sequel Not A Done Deal

Kim Cattrall got everyone all excited Tuesday when she announced on British television show that a sequel to blockbuster movie Sex and the City is definite. Kim told Melanie Brown on the The Paul O’Grady Show that she and the girls will be heading back to New York to begin filming next summer. But today Sara Jessica Parker has warned fans not to get their hopes up just yet – as the production has not yet been given the green light. She says, “I’m thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done. We wanted to (do it) the first time, and now we’re hopefully doing it again for the second time. “ SJP must be holding out for more money before she committs to the movie. Geez…just do the movie. No one wants to hear about your salary wars again ladies.

Kim Cattrall Confirms Sex and the City Sequel

“Sex and The City” star Kim Cattrall revealed she will be appearing in a second Sex And The City film during an appearance on Britain’s The Paul O’Grady Show yesterday. The star let the scoop slip to former Spice Girl Mel B, who was guest hosting the show on Tuesday. When asked: “Now will there be a sequel?” Kim replied: “Yes there will.” Sex and the City opened in theaters in 2008 with the series’ original actresses– Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Catrall – all reprising their roles. The film made $57 million its opening weekend and made a total of $408 million worldwide. Source
