Gwyneth Paltrow: Schoolhouse Pick-Up

Getting used to life on the west coast, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted picking up her children, Moses and Apple Martin, from school in Santa Monica on Tuesday (April 21). The Oscar winning actress and her family are staying in Los Angeles as Gwyneth works on the sequel to her box office hit, “Iron Man”. In related news, recent reports tell that Miss Paltrow is auctioning off part of her extensive wardrobe to raise money for the Robin Hood Foundation, which helps fight poverty in New York. “Gwyneth is a neighbor of ours and is obviously familiar with what we do,” auction supervisor, Phillip Davies, told the Daily Star. “She had a big clear-out of her wardrobe and wants to raise money for one of the charities she’’s involved in. There are some amazing pieces from Jimmy Choo to Lanvin to Balenciaga,” Davies added. 

Miss California: Thwarted By Gay Marriage Question

The competition was fierce over the weekend as ladies from all over American competed for the Miss USA crown.  And Miss California, Carrie Prejean, says her answer to the ‘same sex marriage’ question cost her the title. The 21-year-old hottie was asked her opinion on gay marriage by Perez Hilton, an openly-gay man himself, and her opposition to the idea was a huge blow against her.  She stated, “In my country, and in my family, I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman.” Prejean told press, “It did cost me my crown.  I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I said what I feel. I stated an opinion that was true to myself and that’s all I can do.  It is a very touchy subject and [Hilton] is a homosexual and I see where he was coming from and I see the audience would’ve wanted me to be more politically correct.” Hilton says he was “shocked and incredibly frustrated and disappointed” with Prejean’s answer.  “That’s not the kind of woman I want to be Miss USA.  Miss USA should represent all Americans and, with her answer, she instantly alienated millions of gays and lesbians and their friends.”

Debra Messing Back On NBC

Debra Messing is making her triumphant return to network television! The Will & Grace alum is set to star in a new comedic sitcom as “a laid-off CEO who is as ill-prepared to be a full-time wife and mother as her husband is to provide for the family.” Both NBC and ABC have been involved in a vicious bidding war over the project, but it’s looking more and more likely the sitcom will be part of NBC’s line-up. Brad Paisley Names Baby Son Jasper Warren

Enjoying life with their newborn baby son, Brad Paisley and wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley have named their family’s latest addition Jasper Warren Paisley. Jasper was born at a Nashville-area hospital just this past Friday (April 17), making for the couple’s second child together. “Mother and baby are resting comfortably,” Paisley’s told Us magazine following the recent birth. According to reports, Brad and his lovely wife got the baby’s middle name, Warren, from Paisley’s grandfather -who was the inspiration behind the country star’s music career.

Miss California Carrie Prejean’s Controversial Question!

Miss USA was crowned on Sunday night and while Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton was bestowed the title it was an answer during the Q&A from Miss California Carrie Prejean that has grabbed headlines. As Prejean stood center stage she randomly drew a number from a bowl that placed her in position to answer a question from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. The openly-gay Hilton asked Prejean about her views on gay marriage and whether it should be legal and it was clear he did not like her response. Prejean addressed the question with confidence stating, “We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.” Many believe Prejean’s answer may have cost her the crown as she finished first runner-up. Source

The father of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ child star Rubina Ali was allegedly caught trying to sell the 9-year-old. According to reports, Rafiq Quershi attempted to sell his daughter for roughly $300,000 to undercover News of the World reporters, who were posing as a wealthy Middle Eastern family. “I have to consider what’s best for me, my family and Rubina’s future,” Quershi told the reporters. He also claimed Ali “got nothing” out of starring in the Oscar-winning film although director Danny Boyle has purchased apartments for Ali, her fellow child star Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail and their families. Trust funds were also set up for their education. Ali shot to fame after playing the younger version of Freida Pinto, who starred as Latika, the childhood sweetheart of Who Wants to be a Millionaire winner Jamal (played by Dev Patel). Source

Ellen Pompeo: Baby On the Way!

Ready to get her family started, Ellen Pompeo is happily expecting her first child with music producer husband, Chris Ivery! Spotted out grocery shopping at Whole Foods in West Hollywood on Sunday (April 19), the 39-year-old “Grey’s Anatomy” actress showed off her burgeoning baby bump as she toted her supplies out of the store. As for the baby-on-the-way, Pompeo’s rep kept it short and sweet, telling press: “[Ellen and Chris] are thrilled.” Prior to getting pregnant, Ellen previously told Allure magazine of the subject: “It’s a huge lifestyle change, and I take that very seriously. We enjoy our life so much. We go to Europe and sleep in. So when I have the baby, I won’t feel like we’ve missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon. But I’ve got to get on it, because the clock is ticking.”

Kim Kardashian is currently vacationing with her family in Mexico and the reality TV star just posted the following picture and message on her Twitter : “PLEASE HELP ME! I am so sunburned!
