Shanna Moakler Talks Miss California

She’s been in the news every day since her controversial answer during the Miss USA pageant – and it’s no secret Carrie Prejean is sticking by her answer. A former Miss USA winner and promoter of Carrie Prejean, however, is Shanna Moakler, who has decided to take to her blog to clear of few things up since Sunday night’s competition. Ms Moakler says, “First, I want to be clear on the fact, that I have NOT and will not abandon our reigning Miss California, thou I have a STRONG difference of opinion, I do NOT hate her, nor do I have any issue with her stating her opinion, she is not the first conservative christian titleholder to be in pageants. I agree with the majority that this IS what makes our country great and that is of course freedom of speech. She was asked a questioned and she answered it.” The blog ended with Shanna adding, “I do however want to apologize to the men and woman who have continually supported the Miss California USA pageant. I know some were hurt and felt a sense of betrayal, but I thank you for your understanding, communication, love and continued support. “

Miss California: Thwarted By Gay Marriage Question

The competition was fierce over the weekend as ladies from all over American competed for the Miss USA crown.  And Miss California, Carrie Prejean, says her answer to the ‘same sex marriage’ question cost her the title. The 21-year-old hottie was asked her opinion on gay marriage by Perez Hilton, an openly-gay man himself, and her opposition to the idea was a huge blow against her.  She stated, “In my country, and in my family, I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman.” Prejean told press, “It did cost me my crown.  I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I said what I feel. I stated an opinion that was true to myself and that’s all I can do.  It is a very touchy subject and [Hilton] is a homosexual and I see where he was coming from and I see the audience would’ve wanted me to be more politically correct.” Hilton says he was “shocked and incredibly frustrated and disappointed” with Prejean’s answer.  “That’s not the kind of woman I want to be Miss USA.  Miss USA should represent all Americans and, with her answer, she instantly alienated millions of gays and lesbians and their friends.”

Jessica Simpson: Casa Vega Vixen

Getting in some quality time with her mother Tina, Jessica Simpson was spotted out to dinner at Casa Vega restaurant on Saturday night (April 18). The “Come on Over” songstress looked cute and casual as she made her way inside, sporting a denim jacket overtop a floral printed dress with a massive woven pink handbag. And though her country music career looks to have come to an untimely end, Miss Simpson can revel in the fact that her designer bikinis made a big splash at this weekend’s Miss USA pageant. An insider revealed, “Identical $104 white ‘n’ gold string bikinis were especially created for the contest, as well as the $88 bright green string bikinis modeled by the crown-chasers during a pre-pageant photo shoot in Las Vegas.”

Says Norris: “I may run for president of Texas. That need may be a reality sooner than we think. Madonna Cries To The Malawian Public

In what appears to be a last minute attempt to rally the people of Malawi against the denial of her adoption, the normally private Madge granted Malawian newspaper Nation an interview discussing the tug-of-war! Madonna explained her desires for the 3-year-old Mercy James if she were to be able to live with M: “I want to provide Mercy with a home, a loving family environment and the best education and healthcare possible…And it’s my hope that she, like David, will one day return to Malawi and help the people of their country.” We don’t doubt it! Although Madge couldn’t reveal much regarding the highly publicized appeal of the denial, she did tip her hat to the Malawian people for their continued support of her adoption! Said Madonna: “Though I have been advised that I cannot publicly discuss the pending appeal regarding my desire to adopt Mercy, I do want to say how much I appreciate the level of support that I have received from the people of Malawi and my friends around the world.” Do U think the appeal will be granted to the big M??? Madonna Leaves London, Talks Failed Adoption

Heading out of London following a week long stay, Madonna was spotted making her way through Heathrow Airport on Sunday (April 12). Accompanied by her daughter Lourdes, the pair strolled through the departures terminal hand-in-hand after passing through the security checkpoint. Meanwhile, Madge broke her silence following ehr denied adoption attempt of 3-year-old orphan Mercy James in Malawi. Responding to questions from Malawian newspaper Nation, the Material Girl tells: “I want to provide Mercy with a home, a loving family environment and the best education and healthcare possible. And it’s my hope that she, like David, will one day return to Malawi and help the people of their country.” The 50-year-old Queen of Pop adds: “Though I have been advised that I cannot publicly discuss the pending appeal regarding my desire to adopt Mercy, I do want to say how much I appreciate the level of support that I have received from the people of Malawi and my friends around the world.”

Nicole Kidman: Australia for Easter

Preparing for the upcoming Easter weekend, Nicole Kidman has returned to her native Australia along with husband Keith Urban and daughter Sunday Rose. The “Moulin Rouge” actress and her “Days Go By” country crooner hubby were spotted arriving at Kingsford Smith Airport in Sydney earlier today (April 10), and are believed to be headed to their $6.5 million mansion called Bunya Hill in Sutton Forest, New South Wales. Nicole and Keith plan on spending plenty of time with family, as Kidman’s parents, sister, and four nieces and nephews all live in Sydney.  This past weekend, Keith took Nicole as his date to the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, where Kidman revealed that their daughter is a big fan of Sin City.  “She loves it. She’s been out and about. I think because it’s so colorful. It’s big for her.”
