Gwyneth Paltrow: Schoolhouse Pick-Up

Getting used to life on the west coast, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted picking up her children, Moses and Apple Martin, from school in Santa Monica on Tuesday (April 21). The Oscar winning actress and her family are staying in Los Angeles as Gwyneth works on the sequel to her box office hit, “Iron Man”. In related news, recent reports tell that Miss Paltrow is auctioning off part of her extensive wardrobe to raise money for the Robin Hood Foundation, which helps fight poverty in New York. “Gwyneth is a neighbor of ours and is obviously familiar with what we do,” auction supervisor, Phillip Davies, told the Daily Star. “She had a big clear-out of her wardrobe and wants to raise money for one of the charities she’’s involved in. There are some amazing pieces from Jimmy Choo to Lanvin to Balenciaga,” Davies added. 

Nicole Richie: All About Congo

Looking ever-so-lovely, Nicole Richie was all glammed up as she headed to a photo shoot in West Hollywood on Thursday afternoon (April 16). The former “Simple Life” starlet slowly walked along as paparazzi snapped up shots, showing off her burgeoning baby bump underneath her dress. In related news, Nicole just recently posted a new video on her blog in an attempt to raise awareness in regards to the sexual crimes being committed in the African nation of Congo. “I’m about to tell you a true story about a place where babies and grandmothers are being raped on a daily basis and the reason they are being raped is directly connected to the purchases of our cell phones, of our laptops and of our iPods,” Nicole starts off saying. “The No. 1 weapon out there — it’s not guns, it’s not knives, it is rape. They are raping these women and not only is it — I mean it’s not just rape, these women are being raped in front of their husbands, in front of their children… I mean, this stuff is really inhumane. This is the worst thing that I’ve ever heard in my life,” Miss Richie tells. Urging people to avoid products originating from the area, Nicole explains, “We are not as ignorant as people think we are. We simply don’t know. And it’s not our fault. It is so easy to be just completely distracted and I really am optimistic that if I bring it to my peers attention that they are gonna wanna do the right thing.”

Jennifer Garner: Artist Ambassador

Always one to fulfill her motherly duties, Jennifer Garner was spotted out yesterday (April 15) in Santa Monica picking up daughter Violet from school. The cute mommy brought baby Seraphina along for the ride and was dressed casually in a three quarter length white sweater paired with jeans and black Converse sneakers. In related news, the “13 Going on 30” actress is joining Save the Children’s US Programs as an Artist Ambassador. Garner will focus on advocating for the expansion of the organization’s early education program. Of the program, Jen says, “Working with Save the Children, I hope to help young mothers give the same educational boost to her son that I try to give my own toddler and newborn.”

Josh Hartnett: Feelin’ Fine

He was rushed to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles just two weeks ago after complaining of stomach pains, but now Josh Harnett is insisting he is OK. People magazine caught up to the “Lucky Number Slevin” actor last night (April 15) at the New Yorkers for Children Sixth Annual Spring Dinner, where he told the magazine, “I’m fine. I just had a little stomach bug.” The 30-year-old continued saying that he thinks the reason why “everyone made such a big deal” about his medical incident was because he was rushed to the emergency room from the West Hollywood celebrity haunt, the Chateau Marmont hotel. Nonetheless, it appears as if all is well in the world of Josh Hartnett.

Nadya Suleman: Still Working on TV Deal

Returning from an afternoon of errand-running, Nadya Suleman was spotted parking her minivan outside her La Habra, California home yesterday (April 15). The mother-of-fourteen looked a bit annoyed to find paparazzi waiting for her, and quickly made her way inside, looking cute and casual in a white Hollister t-shirt with green Capri shorts and sandals. And according to a recent report, Octomom’s statement that she officially signed with UK production house Eyeworks to do a documentary show was a bit premature. Eyeworks told press, “At this time we are in active negotiations with Nadya and her attorney for an unscripted format following the life of Nadya and her children.  Nadya’s story is a unique and exciting one that needs to be told in the right manner. … We are confident that we are the right party to tell their story around the world.”

Octo-mom Gets Her TV Show!

Nadya Suleman finally gets what she wanted. She will be doing a television show with her 14 children! “Yes, it is official. I’m going to be doing a show, but it’s not a reality show.” “What I’m doing with this TV show is basically creating documentaries about the lives of my children. It’s going to be an ongoing thing, and it will follow them from now until they are 18. It’s being done by Eyeworks; they’re in the UK. It will air in the UK and then we’ll see if the US is interested.” Nadya adds that the documentary style of the show won’t infringe on her family’s privacy: “The producers will come here to film six times a year.
