Snoop scores with 7-Eleven’s Cup With A Cause

Here’s a fantastic story about one of my favorite rappers. Snoop Dogg is giving us a great reminder that there’s more to love him for than his steady stream of music hits and collaborations. Snoop has an awesome organization called The Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) which has the sole purpose of giving back to the community from which he was born and raised. And now 7-Eleven is teaming up with him to help! 7-Eleven’s Coffee Cup with A Cause program has partnered with SYFL to create a limited edition coffee cup that is designed by Snoop and will be sold in 7-Eleven stores nationwide from now until Oct. 18. Not only will proceeds from cup sales benefit SYFL, but 7-Eleven has already guaranteed a $250,000 donation to SYFL. We are encouraged to purchase to our heart’s desire, because 7-Eleven will contribute even more than the minimum already promised if sales reach a certain point! Snoop Dogg is the fourth designer in the Cup With A Cause program. Previous designers include Nicole Richie, Benji and Joel Madden, Jennifer Hudson and WWE Superstar John Cena. Mentalist promo for Season 3 premiere!

Yesterday, we shared with you a teaser trailer, along with some wonderful photos from Episodes 1 and 2 of the upcoming season of The Mentalist . Now, we have a longer promo trailer for the first episode of Season 3, which was just released! The highly anticipated Season 3 Premiere will hopefully help us connect some widely scattered dots after the thrilling finale of Season 2. At the very least, it’ll hopefully give a little credence to several theories that are circulating and give us more exciting times around the water cooler! Still lingering buzz includes: Will we ever be able to determine what to make of Kristina Fry’s fate? Will the gorgeous, yet cunning consultant, Patrick Jane (Simon Baker, The Devil Wears Prada , The Guardian ) continue to be evasive about his encounter with Red John? Are Risgby and Van Pelt (Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti) a done deal? And most importantly of all, will Jane and Agent Lisbon (Jane’s boss, seen with him in above picture, played by Robin Tunney – The Craft ) ever just be honest about the fact that they love one another? Robbie Williams and wife Ayda hit the town

In their first public outing since their August 7th nuptials, Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Fields walked out of London’s Locanda Locatelli Italian restaurant, hand in hand, on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010. Williams has been in the news quite a lot lately since announcing the reunion of his with his former group ‘Take That’ for a tour. Now he is making headlines after he confirmed the details of his new book, titled ‘You Know Me,” this morning. Robbie is re-teaming with close friend Chris Heath for a 288 page hardback featuring over 250 photos, which is a follow up to his 2004 book entitled, “Feel.” If you are in the London, You Know Me will be available on September 20th from Tesco and will later be released through the singer’s official online store in a numbered deluxe edition limited to 1,000 copies. Dexter goes on vacation?

So few pictures ever leak out from the set of Dexter, but when they do they are golden! These new shots were taken of Michael C. Hall in character as the serial killer Dexter Morgan at a beach side hotel in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010. He is seen working a bellman’s cart before being confronted by an agent in a suit. When the agent leaves, Dexter grabs a bag from said cart and places inside an awaiting Ford Escape. The Showtime hit is headed into their fifth season and is set to have Julia Styles, Shawn Hatosy, Maria Doyle Kennedy (from the Tudor’s!), the hunky Jonny Lee Miller, and Chris Vance as guest stars. Michael Douglas remains in good spirits despite cancer diagnosis

In his first appearance since his cancer diagnosis was made public, Michael Douglas spoke to David Letterman this afternoon. CBS has released a few quotes from that interview that gives us a little more insight into his battle with the disease, which has now progressed to “late, stage four.” “No, you like to be down at stage I … but it has not — the big thing you’re always worried about is it spreading … and the expectations are good … “The percentages are very good,” Douglas added. “I would hate to say, but right now, it looks like it should be 80 percent, and with certain hospitals and everything, it does improve.” The Wall Street actor claims the cancer remains above the neck and that means expectations are good, with an 80 percent or better chance of recovery. In all honesty, he said his smoking and drinking of alcoholic beverages that brought this on. Douglas was diagnosed after undergoing a biopsy when he returned from a family vacation. Jared Leto is cycling sexy!

I know many people have commented that they are not very fond of Jared Leto in his mohawk. Even though I totally disagree, Leto can pull off anything, you have to agree this short, blond look is oozing of deliciousness! Cycling aficionado Jared rode around with some friends while a crew shot some footage in New York City, New York on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010. The 30 Seconds from Mars front man just returned from a trip to Mexico City where they performed at the 2010 MTV World Stages alongside fellow rockers The Smashing Pumpkins. Since then, they lead a crazy show at the New York State Fair Monday night. Fans went crazy for Leto, his brother Shannon Leto on drums, Tomo Millicevic on lead guitar and Tim Kelleher on bass. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki take over Supernatural Con!

This weekend, Supernatural fans were treated to a special discussion hosted by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki during the Supernatural Con weekend in Vancouver, BC Canada. The boys took time off of their busy shooting schedules to join their biggest fans at Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre on Sunday, August 29th, 2010. Amongst other things, the guys discussed shooting locations, the need for a bigger budget as the seasons progress, the episode Jensen directed this year which will be the fourth to air in the upcoming season, and lots of jokes about Misha Collins! Supernatural returns Friday, September 24th on The CW. Don’t forget to check out the all new promo stills that were just released!

A slim and trim Ricky Gervais returns to London

British actor and comedian Ricky Gervais took on the battle of the bulge and has won! People loved busting his chops for years over being chubby and he always joked about how even when he would try to exercise the papers would criticize him. We were able to admire the result of his training in a slimmer, trimmer, healthier version of Mr. Gervais on the 62nd Annual Primtetime Emmy Awards on Sunday and in these new shots of him during his arrival into London Heathrow Airport on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010. One of the funniest jokes of the night was when the Invention of Lying star insulted the controversial Mel Gibson! “I’m not going to make fun of him, hes been through a lot,” he said with a smile, adding, “not as much as the Jews, to be fair.” You gotta love a man who quips about someone that most are afraid to piss off! A bearded James Gandolifini was caught as he cuddles up to fellow actress Diane Lane. But her hubby Josh Brolin has nothing to worry about, they are shooting scenes from their new movie, Cinema Verte outside the Chelsea Hotel in New York City, New York on Thursday, August 26th, 2010. The HBO Original Movie stars Diane Lane and Tim Robbins as Santa Barbara couple Pat Loud and Bill, who, along with their children, were the subject of the documentary, and James Gandolfini as the documentary’s producer. Peter Facinelli flies solo at the Emmy Awards

During the last few years, Peter Facinelli has become a staple on the red carpet since reaching the height of popularity for his work on the Twilight Saga films. Last night, Facinelli, who arrived sans his gorgeous wife Jennie Garth, did not disappoint in slim fit, black suit and a white tie during the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards at Nokia Theatre Live L.A. on Sunday, August 29th, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. Peter attended in support of his hit television show Nurse Jackie which acquired eight nominations. The Showtime series took home Emmy gold in the following categories, “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Edie Falco, and “Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.” I’m crossing my fingers Peter gets nominated for his portrayal of Doctor Fitch Cooper next year!
