Lauer To Undergo Surgery After Bike Accident

If you’re a celebrity, you may want to lay off your bicycle – at least for a day or two! Lance Armstrong has suffered a broken collarbone after he fell from his bike in Spain on Monday. And, as we mentioned earlier , Today show co-host Matt Lauer flipped over his bike’s handlebars, injuring himself after a deer jumped in front of him. Unfortunately for Lauer, it seems his injuries were worse than expected. Matt will require surgery. Turns out he separated his shoulder! According to the show’s publicist, Lauer is “doing well.” Here’s to a speedy recovery – and we’re glad (in the grand scheme of things) it was just a separated shoulder! [ Image via WENN .]
